Of my five children my oldest two and my youngest have curly hair. My oldest daughter and son had the Shirley Temple ringlet curls that everyone adored. Their thick hair fell in such perfect ringlets, that I was often asked if I put them to bed in sponge rollers. Of course I did not, but they were just blessed with this gorgeous hair. What did not seem like a blessing to them was brushing out the tangles. My daughter especially, since her hair was long endured much hair trauma.
