Milkhouse Candle Creamery founders, Eric and Janet Sparrow, have deep-rooted ties to agricultural America. It is their Midwest upbringing that inspired the creation for a cleaner, healthier candle experience. From years of researching, experimenting, and just having fun creating, Milkhouse Candle Creamery was born.
Years after the original candles were produced in standard canning jars bought at local auctions, Milkhouse is steadily gaining respect from consumers world-wide for producing the cleanest burning candle on the market. You won’t find artificial color in these candles, and you won’t find any lead in the wicks. The Milkhouse blend of waxes is simple: pure beeswax and natural soy wax from soybeans grown right here, in the America’s upper Midwest.
The good folks at Milkhouse have kept “sustainability” at the forefront of product development. Natural, renewable waxes contain none of the carcinogens of paraffin candles, and the 40% recycled glassware containers are 100% recyclable, so your candle jars will have a life in your home long after the wax is gone.
I recently received an assortment of Milkhouse Creamery Candles to review. They are very clean-looking and clean-burning. I really like that there are no carcinogens in their waxes and that their candle jars and crocks are reusable to cut down on waste. I really love the crock candle because that lovely crock with the wood lid will come in so handy long after the candle is gone. The milk bottle candle is so cute and I can just picture reusing the little milk bottle on my kitchen window sill filled with wildflowers that my little ones pick for me. The butter jar candle has a decorative black handle and again I can think of many uses for this lovely jar when the wax is gone. It would be lovely in my powder room filled with shells we collected from our favorite beach. The scents I received are Barn Dance ( A masculine tribute to the rural life— Deep notes of rich cologne and pipe tobacco.), Autumn Pear (Juicy ripe pears warmed by the sun touched with just a kiss of vanilla, brown sugar and spice.) and Citrus & Lavender (Clean tart citrus notes combined with fresh fields of lavender buds.). They have so many great scents so there is truly something for everyone no matter what type of scents they are partial to.
Milkhouse Candles really make a great gift because they are truly 2 gifts in one. I even received a recipe card for filling this crock with a delicious treat after the candle has been enjoyed.
