Classic Toys Like Baby Dolls Are a Cherished Part of Childhood-#Giveaway #Corolle

If you follow Mommy Ramblings you know we love Corolle Dolls! Corolle has been a premium doll brand with dolls designed in France for over 30 years.

Every Corolle doll is designed with great care, love and affection because Corolle knows that a doll is more than a toy; it is a cherished part of childhood:  A doll encourages a child to explore different roles through caring for and sharing hopes, dreams and experiences with an always-understanding friend and playmate.

In the past we have introduced you to several dolls in their amazing line as well as had some very popular giveaways! I am so excited to share Lia Interactive Baby Doll and Goodnight My Mini Calin.

Lia Interactive Baby Doll

Let’s take a look at Lia first. Lia is an extra sweet, large interactive My Classique Corolle doll, who, with a simple touch, acts like a real baby. She can speak 13 phrases and sounds in 4 different languages (English, Italian, French and Spanish).

She has a face, arms and legs made of soft to the touch vinyl that has the trademark delicate vanilla scent Corolle is known for.

She has a cloth body and wears leggings with a long-sleeve T-shirt and sweet headband. She has sleep close eyes. She comes with a bottle, spoon, potty and 3 bracelets that change the language she speaks. Lia can wear any of the 17 inch doll clothing and accessories in the My Classique Corolle Collection. She is made for ages 3 and up.

You can see exactly how she works in my video review below:

Good Night My Mini Calin

Good Night My Mini Calin is such a precious set! I remember how I loved little dolls like this as a child that had accessories and clothing. They were so fun because you could bring them anywhere with you.

The Good Night My Mini Calin gift set includes an 8 inch mini doll, a pair of pajamas and a sleeper – perfect to make up stories and replay the bedtime ritual. This Little doll has a head and limbs made of the incredibly soft, delicately scented vanilla. These gift sets are designed for ages 18 months and older.

The Beginner’s Bible is Redesigned and Ready To Inspire a New Generation of Children #TheBeginnersBible #FlyBy #Giveaway

As a parent, I know our kids have a lot of questions and interest about God and Jesus. The Bible is a great book but it can be hard for young children to understand and read. That is why the Beginner’s Bible has been a favorite for young children and their parents since it was first released and sold over 25 million copies in 1989.

Today, it is redesigned with fresh, new art and ready to inspire a new generation of children for years to come. This colorful, kid-sized Bible is easy for my kids to read and the colorful illustrations on every page make the stories and characters of the Bible come to life for them.

It is no wonder why this Beginner’s Bible was named the 2006 Retailers Choice Award winner in Children’s Nonfiction. You can learn more by watching this video trailer for the redesigned Beginners’s Bible HERE.

We have some great news, you can enter below for a chance to win a copy of this new Beginner’s Bible. Good Luck!!!

Print and Share Photos Easily with Your Own Personal Photo Lab!

Do you take a lot of photos? I sure do! I love my DSLR and how easy it is to share, save and edit my photos instantly. While it may be ideal to share your photos through email, social media and online photo sharing sites with your family and friends, there are benefits to being able to print and share photos at home.

Imagine taking a rare family photo with all your aunts, uncles and cousins at your holiday gathering. Sure, you can tell most `you will post the photos to Facebook and that will be good, but what about Aunt Harriet who does not have a computer and thinks if she tries to use one her identity will be stolen? Wouldn’t it be nice to send Aunt Harriet, Uncle Earl and Aunt Ethel home with that rare group photo? It sure would be, and it can be hassle free!

All you need to do is insert your SD card or use Wi-Fi Direct and print from your smart phone with the Epson PictureMate PM-400 Personal Photo Lab.

This unit was so easy to set up, we inserted the 1 ink cartridge and let it go through a 4 minute set up. Then I inserted my SD card and it was so easy, my 7 and 9-year-old were able to select their favorite photos and print them. The pictures were great quality, the colors vibrant and the image was clear and sharp. Check out our video review below:

This compact unit is small on size and big on features! It uses MicroPiezo inkjet technology to create detailed prints at 5760 x 1440 dpi at up to 5 x 7″, ideal for snapshots and family photos. You can also set the layout to print multiple photos to one page. You can use 3.5 x 5″, 4 x 6″, and 5 x 7″ paper, as well as No. 10 envelopes, for producing your most common and convenient photo sizes. It is fast, capable of producing a 4 x 6″ photo in about 36 seconds.

Have a big family? No worries, everyone can go home with a copy without having to reload the printer because it can hold 50 sheets of plain paper and 20 sheets of gloss photo paper. It is versatile and will power up with the conventional power plug included or you can use a USB 2.0 cable to connect to a USB port.

You can do some photo editing directly on the printer like cropping, removing red-eye and more. There is only one ink cartridge to install and the dye based ink is rated to last up to 200 years in album storage. The photos are scratch, water, smudge and fade resistant.

I will be inserting a video review of this printer so you can get an up close and personal look at the unit. While you are waiting, would you like to enter our giveaway for your chance to win one of these awesome units of your own? You can enter by using the widget below. The Perfect Gift For Loose Leaf Tea Drinkers #Giveaway #HolidayGiftGuide #LibreTea

When a product is good, it stands the test of time. The Classic 9 oz Libre Tea Infuser is the first model that Libre Tea introduced back in 2009. Today, it is still a customer favorite. I can understand why, the clean glass interior, durable BPA-free poly exterior and removable stainless steel filter take hydration to a whole new level.

I got this tea glass for my daughter who loved one just like it that we reviewed in 2011. Unfortunately it was stolen, it was in her car that was also stolen and that story did not end well. Anyhow, I knew how much she loved it and so I am presenting her with this one! She is going to be thrilled!

It is the 50th Anniversary of “Charlie the Tramp” #Giveaway

Did you enjoy the Frances books by Russell Hoban that are illustrated by Lillian Hoban? I always did as a child and read them to my little ones. I had never heard of the book Charlie the Tramp written by the same author. I admit, I chuckled when I heard the title and read the excerpt below:

Tramps just tramp around and have a good time.

They carry sticks with little bundles tied to them.

They sleep in a field when the weather is nice, and when it rains they sleep in a barn.

charlie-the-tramp

I bet you are chuckling a bit now or at least smiling. It is funny to read that and think that this is a real children’s book that was originally published in 1966. The book is about Charlie, a young beaver. One day when his grandfather comes for a visit and asks Charlie what he wants to be when he grows up, Charlie tells his family that he wants to be a tramp.

charlie-the-tramp-2

The family asks him why he does not want to do the work of a beaver, cutting down trees, rolling trees in the water and building dams. Charlie tells them it is too much work and he would rather be a tramp. So his father lets him try it out. The first day Charlie acts like a tramp returning home to do some little jobs for a meal and sleeping in the field.

On he second night he hears the stream calling to him and before he knows it, he naturally did what beavers do and built a dam that turned that stream into a pond like his father and grandfather make. He worked so hard, he went to sleep and missed breakfast which worried his family. They went to look for him and saw the new pond. When they found out Charlie had built it, they were impressed and happy that Charlie was following in their footsteps.

Mother hurried home to get a big breakfast of flapjacks and maple syrup on the table before the men came home.

Although this 50-year-old story may make us giggle, the message is as true today as it was then. Don’t we know young people who lack the ambition and drive to do more than just the bare minimum needed to survive? I could go on for a long time about this but I will spare you. I think the message is important, take pride in doing things that you have a talent and ability for. Don’t take the easy road but strive to be the best you can be!

Plough editor Sam Hine says, “As a parent of young children I’ve rarely found new books of this quality. So, like many other parents, I find myself returning to the books of my own childhood. Among these Charlie the Tramp was a hands-down favorite. We’re thrilled to acquire the rights to this timeless classic and make it available to a third generation.” You can purchase this book on Amazon.

The Best Way To Cook A Hearty Beef Stew #EmileHenry #Giveaway #HolidayGiftGuide

As soon as the cold weather hits, I immediately start thinking of stews and soups. They are such comfort foods that warm your body and heart. I cook for an army and found that some types of cookware were not good at cooking everything evenly without burning. That is when I discovered Flame ceramic last year when I used my Emile Henry round stewpot for the first time cooking Pasta Fagioli. emile-henry-pot-9

That round stewpot is one of my favorite cooking pieces so I was thrilled to try out the oval 6.3 qt stewpot for my beef stew. You can see a video of me preparing this stew below:

The benefits of Flame ceramic is that it provides for slow, even cooking which brings out the flavors in your food. The lid is designed to make sure the flavored condensation circulates inside thanks to the dots underneath. The stewpots are made to be used on all types of stove tops, even induction with the addition of an induction disk. They also work in the oven and are dishwasher safe for easy clean up. Their color remains as beautiful and vibrant as ever through all that!

Handmade Stuffed Animals Made From Reclaimed Wool in Canada #Giveaway #HolidayGiftGuide

Have you ever felt a stuffed animal so soft you could not stop yourself from touching it over and over? If you have not, you have not been up close and personal with a Cate and Levi’s Stuffed Animal. We recently welcomed a Cate and Levi Handmade Stuffed Bunny into our family. Our bunny is one of a kind because they are all handmade of premium reclaimed wool i Canada, no two are the same! The fun thing is that you never know what your bunny will look like until you open the package. I love the color/pattern combo we were sent.

cate-and-levi-2

This bunny reminds me of a bunny my daughter has had since she was very little. I can see how a child would love a bunny like this for life and how it would find its way to a college dorm room just as my oldest daughter’s bunny did. My little kids love this and I do too. It also makes a lovely room accent. We love it so much we are adding it to Mommy Ramblings’ 2016 Holiday Gift Guide.

cate-and-levi

This bunny is no small fry, it is approximately 22″ in height. The bunny can be hand or machine washed and you can machine dry on low.
