Prescription eyeglasses can be very expensive, yet they are a necessary expense.  We usually have to bite the bullet and pay whatever the retailer asks, which is usually hundreds of dollars. Truthfully, I wasn’t expecting much when my frames only cost $19.95.  I was proven wrong, as these frames are well worth that and more! SodaStream Home Soda Maker Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I was recently given the opportunity to review a SodaStream Home Soda Maker.  I was very excited, I drink a lot of flavored seltzer water and I buy it by the case.  That is a lot of bottles and a lot of waste, not to mention lugging all those heavy cases home.  With the SodaStream I can make my own flavored and unflavored seltzer at home, with my own water.  The SodaStream makes a wide variety of soft drinks.  I was sent a huge assortment of flavored mixers.  There were the typical soda flavors of cola, lemon-lime, root beer, ginger ale which came in regular and diet variety.  They also sent me flavoring for flavored seltzer water in berry, lemon-lime and orange.  The variety just went on with energy drink mixes, lemonade, sparkling teas and more.   Seeing all the variety made me think how great this would be to have at a party.  Where I normally would be buying bottle after bottle of different varieties of soft drinks to suit everyone’s taste, I could now set out the SodaStream and mixers and let everyone make their choice fresh.

The SodaStream was simple to set up.  I just attached the carbonation canister and filled the 1 liter bottle with water, and I was good to go. About three presses on the top, more if you want more carbonation and then remove the bottle, if you want plain seltzer you are set. If you want a flavored drink just add the mix and get the soda or drink of your choice.  The flavors tasted great and just like the leading brands I love.

When it is time to change the carbonator you can do that by exchange at a local retailer like Bed, Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Macys, Kohls and many more or do it online where you will be provided a post paid box to return your empty container.  It really is easy and helps reduce our carbon footprint.

TLC Woodcrafters One Name Puzzle Review & Give-Away!!!

I was asked to pick a one name puzzle by TLC Woodcrafters to review.  They allowed me to pick one name and one additional character  and an engraved with a message on the back.  I had this puzzle made for Luke, but when I looked at the characters, I did not see a tractor.  It said on the Website that you could request a character if you did not see it and they would do their best to create it.  I requested a tractor and also gave my second choice of one of the available characters.  You can also get the puzzle engraved with a message on the back which is perfect for a keepsake gift.  When I received the puzzle I was delighted that I had a cute green tractor next to Luke’s name.  They did a wonderful job creating the tractor and when Luke saw it he squealed, “That’s my John Deere!”  The puzzle is great quality, the pieces are smooth and painted in bright colors, the puzzle board itself is nice with smooth rounded edges so you do not have to worry about splinters or rough wood.  Luke loved seeing his name and it is perfect for him because he is learning how to spell his name.  He put the puzzle together again and again and was delighted each time he completed it.  With the holidays coming these name puzzles would make perfect, unique, special gifts for the little ones on your shopping list.

Safety 1st, S1 Rumi Air Harnessed Booster Review!!!

O.R.E. Originals Chalk-a-Doodle Placemat Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

I recently recieved a Chalk-a-Doodle placemat from O.R.E. Originals to review. I admit, based on the low price and since it said it was a placemat, I was not expecting much.  I will tell you I was pleasantly surprised when I unwrapped the item.  It was definitely not a flimsy placemat, but a quality chalk board that can even be wall-mounted with its chalk shelf.  When I wrote on it, I was doubly impressed. Many chalkboards fall short for me but the surface on this board was great quality and so easy to write on.  The colored, dustless chalk was vibrant and easy to write with.  The board was also able to erase cleanly with the felt eraser.  I will definitely be purchasing another one of these for Luke.  I love that we can sit at the kid’s table and use them to practice letters, writing names etc.  So Mommy Ramblings gives this product 2 thumbs up for it’s quality and affordability. Chalk-a-Doodle measures 14.75 x 18.5 inches, includes recycled felt eraser, chalk ledge and a box of colored chalk.

 Babies grow fast, and years from now while looking back at photos, you might have to guess what age your little one was in a particular    picture. Well, we recently connected with StickersPlus, a cute store on Etsy.com, about doing a review on Monthly Baby Onesie Stickers.  I had a hard time choosing the stickers I wanted to try, there were so many, and each of them more adorable and vibrant than the next!  I chose these absolutely charming Cocoa Owls and Dots Necktie stickers. The matching patterns of red and browns just caught my eye.

The idea of these stickers is, you stick one on your baby’s onsie for pictures. Then while looking back years from now, you won’t have to guess just how old he or she was in the picture, the sticker will boldly display it. Each set comes in matching patterns and colors so if you want to make a collage of monthly pictures to document your baby‘s first year, they will all tie in together.The stickers are made out of quality waterproof sticker paper, and look very sharp. They came in a clear cellophane wrapper that make them great for gifts. It was very easy to take the laser cut sticker off and apply it to my baby’s shirt. While taking pictures, he discovered the bright tie on his tummy and couldn’t keep his eyes off of it, it was precious! I look forward to the coming months so I can try out the rest of the delightful little patterns.

Colleen from Loveable Creations recently sent me some felt wall decor for my son’s sports themed room.  She did his name up in bright, colorful letters and sent along a variety of soft sculpture sports equipment.  The decor is great and my son loves it.  It has plastic hanging loops on the back of the objects for easy hanging.  It really adds a special touch to any room.  There are many great styles and colors to choose from you are bound to find something that will work well in whatever theme room you are decorating.

First of all, they are biodegradable so it is safe to flush or compost, plus with these liners, you don’t have to deal with scraping and dunking diapers! Here’s how it works, Kissaluvs biodegradable liners come in a perforated roll, so you tear off one liner, and lay it in the diaper. If you are putting it in a small diaper you can cut it in half so it fits better. Put the diaper on baby, and away he goes, while momma is left with the knowledge that once your little one fills his diaper, you won’t have to deal with a huge mess. All that is required of you is, flip the liner into the toilet and flush the mess away, no dunking required! This is a great product for daycare workers, babysitters or dads who don’t know what to do with cloth diaper poopies! When you are changing a pee diaper, you can just throw the liner away instead of flushing it.

These are my thoughts on Kissaluvs liners: They are very thin and soft, almost fabric like material, so it is soft against the baby’s skin. You can rest assured though, that it is not fabric, and will break down just like toilet paper in the sewer or septic system. They held up very well when time came to test them out, despite how thin they were. They are tough little liners that do their job efficiently!
