Diggin Active, Rock ‘N’ Rolla Buzzy Bee 2 in 1 Rocker/Ride On Review & Give-Away!!!

Are you looking for a great gift idea for your toddler? Well, here is something they will be sure to enjoy! I was thrilled to receive this Rock ‘N’ Rolla Buzzy Bee from Diggin Active for review, because I knew my son would love it! There wasn’t much to assemble other than getting it inflated and putting the wheels on, which was super easy, it even comes with it‘s own wrench attached to the bottom for putting on the wheels! All you need is an air pump to get the seat inflated.

My 2 year old was enthralled with his new playmate! He usually doesn’t care much for “ouchie” bees, but this one is adorable and friendly, they became fast friends! At first, he was cautious and went slowly, but they were soon zipping around together having the time of their lives! The 360 degree wheels allow him to make any turn he needs to! The inflatable bee seat gives kids a smooth, comfortable ride with soft antenna grips for small hands. My son loves riding on his bumble bee, going fast and making quick turns! The bee is absolutely adorable and is quite the unique toy, without the wheels it becomes a rocker for smaller toddlers who don’t like rolling fast. The inflatable material is durable and soft with no sharp or pokey edges that could hurt your child.

The Rock N Rolla is available in three great styles, a cow, a bee or a puppy. We think the Rock N Rolla would make a great gift, so we are adding it to our 2011 Holiday Gift Guide! Think of how excited your small child would be to get this smiling, friendly playmate on Christmas morning, and what fun they will have together!

Emerson Creek Pottery, Apple Baker Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

Emerson Creek Pottery

Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Emerson Creek Pottery artisans are continuing the American tradition of pottery making in a contemporary way. Emerson Creek ceramic pottery has been featured at Monticello, Mt. Vernon and the Smithsonian Institute, as well as in fine homes across America. Emerson Creek pottery is formed of clay made onsite. Each piece is hand made, hand painted and fired in a gas kiln. Each pattern is a series of carefully planned strokes. No templates or stencils are used. The patterns are practiced and committed to memory. The artists paint the pattern again and again. Each piece is alike and yet different, like flowers in a field.  All of their pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe, lead free and ovenproof.

I was recently sent a beautiful Cranberry Apple Baker from Emerson Creek Pottery to review.  Delicately handpainted with a ring of jewel-like little cranberries, this ceramic apple baker will bring charm and vibrant color to those cold winter days.  I love pottery, but I am very careful because while some pottery may be absolutely beautiful, it may not be safe to eat on, because of high lead levels.  With Emerson Creek Pottery, I am assured that their handcrafted pottery is lead free.  More than just a decorative piece, this pottery is able to be used in the oven, microwave and can be cleaned in the dishwasher.  The Apple Baker is a wonderful unique piece that just brings the warmth of Fall into your home.  The pottery even came with the recipe to make delicious sweet baked apples that will fill your home with the comforting aroma of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and apples.  The Apple Baker is also great for making savory dishes like oven roasted stuffed tomatoes.

Please take a look at all of Emerson Creek’s great pieces.  I am sure you will find lots of inspiration for those on your holiday gift list.  For this reason we are adding Emerson Creek Pottery to our 2011 Holiday Gift Guide.

Emerson Creek Pottery is sponsoring a give-away and one blog reader will win their own Apple Baker in the pattern of their choice. Thank you Emerson Creek Pottery for the review Apple Baker and for sponsoring this beautiful give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  Open to US residents.

School Zone, Start To Read! Early Reading Program, Level 2 Readers Review & Give-Away!!!

I was recently sent the School Zone, Start To Read! Early Reading Program, Level 2 to review.  This great kit includes 5 beginning reader books, 1 comprehension book, 1 read-along & songs CD and 1 parent guide.  This is a 3 step reading program for ages 5-7.  The first step of the program is to have your child listen to the stories on the CD and follow along in the books.  Audio cues signal when to turn the pages.  The second step is to encourage your child to read the stories aloud.  Your child’s excitement grows with their progress, independence and success.  The third step is to help your child review the stories with the companion comprehension pages.

My 4-year-old is shy of the recommended age but he still wanted to try this.  The stories are really fun and easy for children to follow along.  School Zone makes reading programs in a variety of age levels.  Mommy Ramblings thinks this Start To Read Program would make a great gift for the young children on your holiday list, so we are adding it to our 2011 Holiday Gift Guide.

Is your child ready for the next step in reading? Move up to Level 2 in the Start to Read! Early Reading Program. This collection continues to build the foundation your preschooler or first grader needs to experience reading success in school. This set contains:

5 Beginning Readers present
charming stories with beginning vocabulary
1 Read-Along & Songs CD includes
all 5 stories (narrated) and 10 original songs
1 Comprehension Workbook corresponds
to the 5 stories to test and reinforce reading skills
1 Parent Guide offers tips and ideas for following
a 3-step approach: listen, read and review

The stories in the readers are fun, easy to follow, and colorfully illustrated. Repetition, rhyming words, and short sentences introduce and reinforce essential language and listening skills. Each story has one track on the CD dedicated to uninterrupted reading and another narrated track, with turn-the-page signals to help your child follow along in the book. The CD also has 10, fun-to-memorize songs that make bedtime, bathtime, or anytime more playful.

A comprehension workbook provides additional activities and extra practice of newly learned skills, while testing your child’s understanding of each story. A Parent Guide offers tips and ideas for you to enhance and support his or her reading progress. Originally developed by educator and School Zone co-founder Dr. James Hoffman, the updated sequence-based series, which consists of storybooks and complementary materials across three progressive reading levels, is designed to build a solid literary foundation for any child while teaching kids that reading is fun. School Zone, Start To Read! Early Reading Program, Level 2 Readers Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

A comprehension workbook provides additional activities and extra practice of newly learned skills, while testing your child’s understanding of each story. A Parent Guide offers tips and ideas for you to enhance and support his or her reading progress. Originally developed by educator and School Zone co-founder Dr. James Hoffman, the updated sequence-based series, which consists of storybooks and complementary materials across three progressive reading levels, is designed to build a solid literary foundation for any child while teaching kids that reading is fun. This Level 2 collection continues the development of reading skills. Follow this program, and you and your child will celebrate reading success every day!
