I will admit, I do not hand wash my dishes by hand and rely heavily on my dishwasher which is run several times a day to keep up with our big family and busy household. I also have to admit since I am a germophobe hand washing dishes kind of makes me a little queasy but that’s material for another post entirely. However, there are always some things that must be hand washed and cannot be put in the dishwasher. Some photo mugs, hand painted decorative crocks, delicate stemware etc will get ruined in the dishwasher. I was willing to give the Dish Drying Mat from Envision Home a try.
The mat folds in thirds very neatly and can easily be stored almost anywhere. I like it because I can use it when I need it and then conveniently store it away without taking up much space at all. So to test it out I hand washed a heavy covered casserole dish and lid. I put them very wet on the mat and walked away, when I came back all the water on the mat was dry and so was my covered dish. I was surprised at just how fast the water dried. I really like that the mat is so cushioned and so it cradles even delicate items. I appreciate that it is machine washable so it is a snap to care for. The Dish Drying Mat is available in several colors and three sizes, they even have some new print mats too!
