My older kids loved Peter Pan, in fact one of my daughter’s favorite songs to sing when she was 2 was “Never Smile at a Crocodile.” I could not wait when we received the Peter Pan Diamond Edition Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital Copy Combo Pack recently. My littlest guy is obsessed with pirates now so this could not have come at a better time. They absolutely love this movie and it is amazing how Disney movies just stand the test of time and delight generation after generation. Disney’s, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta Unleashed on Blu-ray & DVD!!!

We had the opportunity to review this Blu-ray edition. What is not to love about adorable pups and lots of action, talking dogs, great songs, special effects, and fun. This is another great Disney film and wonderful to share as a family. My kids were captivated by the four-legged stars like Papi and little Rosa. If you want furry fun and a great family night you can’t beat spending it with Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3. You can also visit and like them on Facebook HERE!

Everyone’s favorite talking Chihuahuas Papi (voice of George Lopez) and Chloe (voice of Odette Annable ) are back, joined by their five playful pups in an all-new family comedy. It’s canine chaos as Papi’s family (dog and human) move into the posh Langham Hotel, complete with a luxurious doggy spa. But there’s trouble in puppy paradise when Rosa, the littlest member of the pack, feels smaller and less special than ever. Now it’s up to Papi to help Rosa find – and celebrate – her inner strength, which turns out to be bigger than she ever dreamed and reminds humans and canines alike of the importance of family, friends and teamwork.

The canine cast features the voice talents of Miguel Ferrer (“Beverly Hills Chihuahua,” “Traffic”) as Delgado, Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo (“Beverly Hills Chihuahua,” Hispanic National Radio Morning Show DJ) as Humberto, Emily Osment (TV’s “Hannah Montana,” “Hannah Montana The Movie”) as Pep and Madison Pettis (Disney Junior’s “Jake and the Never Land Pirates,” “Game Plan”) as Lala.

Fans who fell in love with Papi and Chloe in the box office hit “Beverly Hills Chihuahua,” and their universally beloved litter of pups in “Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2” (the #1 direct-to-video title of 2011*), will enjoy this exciting and playful new installment in the pedigreed franchise. The Princess Diaries Film Synopsis: Mia Thermopolis is the average teenager – sweet, a little geeky and pretty much invisible to everyone with the exception of her mother, best friend Lilly and Lilly’s older brother Michael. Making it through high school without throwing up is a challenge in itself for Mia, so it doesn’t come as welcome news when her estranged grandmother shows up out of the blue and calmly informs her that she is in fact the heir to the throne of a European country called Genovia. Suddenly Mia’s life is thrown into complete overload. She’s being taught about scarves, waves and pears in order to become a perfect princess, she gets a makeover and a tough looking yet sweet bodyguard/limo driver called Joe. I was thrilled to receive this 3 disc Blu-ray combo 2 movie pack from Disney for review. The Princess Diaries was one of my daughter’s favorite movies. To have this set of both movies on Blu-ray is a real treat. Julie Andrews is just such a spectacular actress and woman and Anne Hathaway is just so funny and sweet in all the little comical complications that come her way. The great theme of finding out who you really are to make your dream come true is wonderful to share with the whole family. There are lots of special features like the bloopers and outtakes from “The Princess Diaries” and the royal bloopers from “The Princess Diaries 2.” The behind the scenes featurette, “A New Princess”, 8 deleted scenes with and introduction from Gary Marshall, “The Ultimate Tea Party” with audio commentary by Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway, music videos and more. So sit the family down or maybe have a mommy and daughter night with this double feature that is sure to fill your night with laughter and heartwarming comedy.

Our Thoughts:

I don’t know who was more excited to see the John Carter Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack that we received for review, my husband or my kids. From a glance at the box cover they were captivated. It was quickly passed around and they could not wait to view it. I will admit It even looked appealing to me and I am not a big science fiction fan. The movie is full of very cool special effects and is an epic adventure filled with acts of bravery and great discovery, feats of love and compassion, and plenty of mystery that had us all captivated.

John is thrust into conflict on Barsoom, Mars and it has all the elements you want in a great adventure film like this. He has the country of Helium to save, evil to battle by the name of Sab Than, love to discover with a Mars Princess, Dejah of Helium and aliens called Tharks who become his friends and help him to save Helium. After defeating evil he finds himself back on Earth where he spends years and his wealth trying to get back to Mars and to reunite with his wife. I won’t spoil the end for you by telling you what happens because I would be pretty annoyed if someone did that to me. So you will just have to watch for yourself.

Disney’s, “The Secret World of Arrietty” Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack Review and Giveaway!!!

On May 22nd, Walt Disney Studios and the legendary Studio Ghibli release THE SECRETWORLD OF ARRIETTY, on Blu-ray & DVD Combo Pack! The film features an all-star voice cast including Will Arnett, Amy Poehler, Carol Burnett, Bridgit Mendler and more telling a story based on the acclaimed children’s book series “The Borrowers.” Bonus includes a storyboard version of the film, original Japanese TV commercials, and more!

Residing quietly beneath the floorboards are little people who live undetected in a secret world to be discovered, where the smallest may stand tallest of all. From the legendary Studio Ghibli (“Spirited Away,” “Ponyo”) comes “The Secret World of Arrietty,” an animated adventure based on Mary Norton’s acclaimed children’s book series “The Borrowers.”

Arrietty (voice of Bridgit Mendler), a tiny, but tenacious 14-year-old, lives with her parents (voices of Will Arnett and Amy Poehler) in the recesses of a suburban garden home, unbeknownst to the homeowner and her housekeeper (voice of Carol Burnett). Like all little people, Arrietty (AIR-ee-ett-ee) remains hidden from view, except during occasional covert ventures beyond the floorboards to “borrow” scrap supplies like sugar cubes from her human hosts. But when 12-year-old Shawn (voice of David Henrie), a human boy who comes to stay in the home, discovers his mysterious housemate one evening, a secret friendship blossoms. If discovered, their relationship could drive Arrietty’s family from the home and straight into danger. The English language version of “The Secret World ofArrietty” was executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall, and directed by Gary Rydstrom.

Hayao Miyazaki is one of the most influential and admired filmmakers working in animation today and is a major figure in the Japanese cinematic landscape. His films have inspired moviegoers and colleagues around the world, from Pixar’s John Lasseter to fantasist Guillermo del Toro to Chinese director Tsui Hark, and consistently top the box office in his native Japan.
Director Hiromasa Yonebayashi, a top animator at Studio Ghibli, was responsible for the animation in a signature scene in “Ponyo,” in which Ponyo runs atop ocean waves.
English language voice talent director Gary Rydstrom is a seven-time Academy Award^Òwinning sound designer/mixer (“Terminator 2: Judgment Day”). He joined Pixar Animation Studios as an animation film director in 2003. His directorial debut for the studio was the Academy Award^®-nominated short film “Lifted,” and he directed the short film “Hawaiian Vacation,” which was released with “Cars 2” in June 2011.
Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall are highly successful producing partners whose films, separately and together, include “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “E.T.,” “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?,” the Indiana Jones films and the Jurassic Park films. In total, Kennedy and Marshall have earned 11 Oscar® nominations.
English language screenplay writer Karey Kirkpatrick’s credits include “Spiderwick Chronicles” and “Over the Hedge,” which he also directed (with Tim Johnson).

My kids were thrilled when we received “The Secret World of Arrietty” on Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack recently. They were captivated by the case itself. I could not wait to show them the movie. This movie brings everyone’s imagination to life, a secret world that exists under the floorboards! Believe me you will love watching this together as a family as it is a delightful movie showing the remarkable and diverse friendship between a human boy and the little borrowers who live quietly among them. Heartwarming family feel good movie is what this is and it will have all of us, no matter our age thinking back to a time when we hoped to find leprechauns or other magical little creatures in the very common places we call home.
