At a Brick Fest Live event, you and your family will take part in lots of hands-on activities. But LEGO itself is a hands-on activity. What will you get when you attend a Brick Fest Live event that differs from your activity at home? We have accumulated a collection of LEGO pieces ready to build with which span many decades of production. Every year, The LEGO Group produces dozens of new elements which have never been made before. Consequently, they also retire many elements and replace some of them with newer versions. Many parts as well as colors are never produced again. Our collection of parts gives you free range of LEGO’s extensive part catalog for an unhindered building experience.

We have seen other LEGO-related events which use a limited selection of LEGO elements in their free-build area. There have even been events with a massive quantity of only one type of piece. While this presents interesting and different challenges for the builder in your life, we find that building with as large a parts selection as we have will present a new and exciting experience for you.

Our Evening With The Original Harlem Globetrotters!!! #PTPAGlobies

As a PTPA Blogaholic I was provided with tickets to this event for myself and my family.  All views and opinions are as always, 100% my own.

We recently attending an Original Harlem Globetrotters event at the Webster Bank Arena in Connecticut.  We took our little boys ages 5 and 7 and it was their first time seeing the Globetrotters.  The evening started with a VIP meet and greet with some of the players.  This was very exciting and we saw close up how tall Stretch was, he is very tall!

After that we stopped to get food and headed to our seats.  The show started and it was filled with all kinds of antics, feats of skill and fun.  The Washington Generals were there along with their elderly coach and that whole scenario was the premise for lots of jokes and laughs.

People were pulled out throughout the show and thrust into character themselves.  Big Easy was hysterical with his comical interaction with the crowd.  Taken a ladies purse, drinking a kids soda, dancing with the husband of the woman who he stole the purse from and so much more.

A wonderful time with the mascots Globe (Globee) and Big G who were a  hit with kids and adults alike.  When Big G who was full of air kept falling on his face with a splat it was absolutely hilarious.

We had a wonderful time and if the Original Harlem Globetrotters make their way nearby to you during their tour, you should plan to go see them for a night of side-splitting fun on the court.  You can go HERE to check dates, locations and purchase tickets.

The boys went home with some loot.  We bought them tee shirts and basketballs so they can always remember the first time they saw the Original Harlem Globetrotters.  I am sure it won’t be the last time.

Starting to Stress a Bit!!!

Okay, I am starting to stress a little.  I promised myself I would not.  Easter is coming, Michael’s surgery, and vacation literally on the heels of that.  Suitcases are down and ready to be packed.  I washed all the kids summer clothes, even the new stuff and it is ready to be packed.  Shopping is done for Easter dinner, eggs still need to be colored, the Easter Bunny has a lot of eggs and baskets to fill.  Lists are made and added to daily of everything that must be done.  The van is pretty well cleaned, we just have to put in the floormats we took out to clean and do a few little things and we will be good to pack.  I have to get together some fabulously interesting DVDs for the kiddies that will make the long drives go by quickly.  So, I  have moments of panic that set in, thinking if I will get everything done, even though I realize there are stores all along the way if we forget anything.  Last night I had a dream, we forgot the kids life preservers, so they could not go swimming.  When the panic sets in, I take a deep breath and try to relax.  I have told myself from the beginning, that I was not going to put huge expectations on this trip that would have to be met.  That is just not something to do when traveling with 2 toddlers.  So I am hoping to clean house, prepare some Easter desserts, get some packing done and relax as much as I can before we take off.
