Ah Goo Baby, Grab-And-Go-Bag Review & Give-Away!!!

I recently had the opportunity to review the Grab-And-Go-Bag from Ah Goo Baby.  I chose the Kiwi green color because that is my one son’s favorite color.  This is a great size messenger type bag with adjustable padded shoulder strap and loads of compartments and pockets to hold everything you need.  It is a medium size and nothing about it screams baby bag or diaper bag, so you can use it with or without your baby in tow.  I am a person that brings a lot with me when we go somewhere and I am never one that goes out with a clutch because I just like to be prepared.  I am the person to come to if you need wipes, sanitizer, tissues, snacks…I think you get the picture.

This bag is a great size and looks like a regular messenger bag.  The interior has net pockets to hold bottles, sippy cups and more, the side pocket with the flap is great for your cell phone and the other side pocket can hold your keys.  There is a large back pocket in the back and a zippered pocket on the front that has another zippered pocket inside. Toward the bottom on the front, there is a large zippered compartment that is great for holding a changing pad. The front flap of the bag closes securely with a magnetic closure.  I really like this bag and highly recommend it.  It is also available in Espresso.

Grab-and-Go Bag Bullet Image

Features:

1. Outer flap zippered pocket with mini pocket for credit cards and change .

2. Gusseted side velcro pocket for quick access to yourmobile phone and keys, while insulated to fit various sized bottles and sippy cups.

3. Expandable lower waterproof compartment that is anideal location for the Ah Goo Baby® Plush Pad®, a second set of clothes, or doubles as a wet section for soiled garments.

4. Zippered see-through mesh pocket for lotions, sanitizer, Ah Goo Baby® Pacifier Pouches or other small items.

5. An adjustable (32 to 52 inch), cushioned shoulder strap and stroller rings to make attaching it to
the stroller a breeze.

6. A second gusseted side pocket, insulated for bottles or sippy cups.

7. An anti-microbial interior lining that can be fully pulled out for easy cleaning and crumb drains in the back pocket of the bag.

8. Ample interior space to carry essentials, including two easy access mesh pockets for the Ah Goo Baby® Travel Wipes Case and an Ah Goo Baby® Diaper Pouch.

The Grab & Go bag is approximately 12 inches wide (when looking at the bag from left to right) by 10 inches tall (when looking at the bag, from top to bottom of the bag), and 5 inches deep (when looking at the bag, from the front to the back of the bag). This does not include the gusseted side pockets which will stretch out to fit most bottles and sippy cups (or mobile phone).

There are also pockets in the back of the bag and inside the top flap. Note that the top flap zippered pocket has an additional inner zippered pocket for change/credit cards.  Similarly, there is a meshed pocket inside the lower bag compartment zippered flap.

The lower compartment, if empty, collapses allowing the full depth of the bag for the top compartment. If clothing or a plush pad is inserted into the lower compartment, it will float the bottom of the bag upward up to approximately 4 inches tall from the bottom of the bag, leaving approximately 6 inches for the top compartment.

• Magnet closures connect effortlessly on their own.

• Machine washable and waterproof fabrics.

ThinkFun Games, Swish Review & Give-Away!!! {Give-Away Ended}

If you are looking for a really fun game for ages 8 to adult that can be played by 1 or more players, then I have a great suggestion for you.  I love games that are fun but make you think and I was recently sent the game of Swish from Think Fun Games.  This great game is made of transparent cards and can be played alone or with multiple players.  Swish is great if you like visual puzzles and if you do, you will find that Swish is very addictive. Our family, especially my husband and I really love these kind of games because they are so fun but you are really thinking and you have to be quick to win.  The video below will show you how the game is played more than I could ever tell you here in just words.  So take a look at that now.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MbD8kNxdwA]

Now doesn’t that look fun?  Mommy Ramblings thinks Swish is one great game that is sure to be a hit for any kids 8 and older on your holiday gift list.  We are adding it to our 2011 Holiday Gift Guide.

Swish is a spatial card game that challenges you to be the first to make matches, or “Swishes”. Swishes are made by layering as few as two or as many as 12 cards so that every ball swishes into a hoop of the same color. The cards must be placed on top of each other in the same orientation, and no ball or hoop can be left unmatched. The player with the most matches at the end of the game wins. Various levels of play make this card game addictively fun for all.

•Thinkfun’s first transparent card game
•Includes 60 transparent swish cards
•Game-go bag included

Recommended Ages: 8 years & Up

ThinkFun Games is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win their own Swish game.  Thank you ThinkFun Games for the review Swish and for this awesome give-away on Mommy Ramblings!!!  Open to US residents.

If you are looking for an action movie that the whole family will enjoy ,then Spy Kids: All The Time In The World is a great choice.  It is fun and fast paced and full of action that kids love.  Even my little ones were captivated by the movie and special effects.  Adults will have no trouble watching this and Jessica Alba is great as the step-mother who is really a spy.  The dog also a spy is so funny and one of my favorite characters.  The family dynamics of the step-mom trying her best to get close to her step-daughter by giving her a necklace that just happens to have a stone that the Time Keeper is wanting, makes for a lot of action and adventure as the kids soon discover their step-mom is a spy.  The family comes together to catch the villain and save the world.   The favorite bonus feature was the Spy Gadgets, that was really cool.  Watch Spy Kids: All The Time In The World and have a great family movie night!!!

Somersault Snack Co.,Somersaults Snack Assortment Review & Give-Away!!!

Celebrate The Power of Seeds!!!

Do you know how healthy sunflower seeds are for you?  Somersault Snack Co. does, sunflower seeds, the #1 ingredient in Somersaults, are a nutritionally dense food, power packed with antioxidants, protein, vitamin E, minerals and healthy fats. Sunflower seeds are packed with four times more antioxidants than blueberries, walnuts, and peanuts, boosting the immune system and lowering blood pressure and bad cholesterol. Sunflower seeds offer 17% of the recommended daily allowance of folate in a 1 oz. serving. This essential nutrient is necessary for the production and maintenance of new cells and is especially important during pregnancy.  Sunflower seeds have as much potassium as almonds, offering about 200mg of potassium per 1 oz. serving, playing an important role in decreasing blood pressure and establishing proper nerve function and muscle control.  Sunflower seeds are the best whole-food source of vitamin E, a nutrient that may slow the effects of aging, boosts the immune system and prevents cardiovascular disease.

Sunflower seeds have even more health benefits than I have listed above and they are delicious.  Somersault Snacks quest to bake the perfect snack led them to the miraculous sunflower. Somersaults have a healthy bunch of sunflower and sesame seeds in every nugget. In fact, Somersaults are a good source of fiber, vitamin E and offer you the same protein as almonds, but with fewer calories and less fat.  Somersaults are available in  3 convenient sizes and 4 scrumptious flavors.

I recently received a sample assortment of Somersaults.  They were quite unlike any snack food I have had.  The Cinnamon Crunch and Dutch Cocoa were my favorites.  They also have savory flavors like salty pepper and santa fe salsa.  You really taste the sunflowers in these baked crunchy snacks and they are delicious.  The only thing I did not like was their bags, which were really hard to get open.  I had to end up cutting them and even when I used the tear strip above a zip lock seal the bag did not open right and it took a lot of tugging, pulling and ripping before I could open the bag.  This is not a big deal if you are in your kitchen but if you are taking them along on a hike or are in the car, it can pose a problem.  My constructive suggestion to them would be to make the packaging more user-friendly.  Other than that, these delicious unique snacks are packed with tons of flavor and nutrition to get you through your busy days.

Good news, Somersault Snack Co. is sponsoring a give-away on Mommy Ramblings.  One lucky blog reader will win an assortment of Somersaults Snacks.  Thank you Somersault Snack Co. for the review snacks and for sponsoring this delicious give-away on Mommy Ramblings!!!  Open to US residents.

PlaSmart, Perplexus Original Review & Give-Away!!!

If you are looking for “that” gift this holiday season.  You know the one, the one that gets passed around and everyone clamours for their turn, the one that every kid wishes was theirs, that every parent wishes they knew about, the one that parents are out buying the day after Christmas for their children who were not the lucky recipients.  Well, I have got “that” gift for you.  The Original Perplexus by PlaSmart is the gift that will make you the superhero of the holiday season.

Perplexus is a maze game where players maneuver a small marble around challenging barriers inside a transparent sphere. Unlike traditional flat-surface mazes that are composed of one path, Perplexus houses various challenging tracks with 100 barriers providing a frustrating three-dimensional experience. Players select the track they would like to attempt and must work with gravity to carefully shift, flip, and twist the sphere to guide the marble. Players can race each other or the clock.

This game is addicting and you will not be able to put it down!  The Original Perplexus is for ages 6 and up.  For younger kids they make the Perplexus Rookie and for those that are confident enough to move on to the next level of difficulty after completing the Perplexus Original, they can try the Perplexus Epic. There is a Perplexus available for just about everyone on your gift list!   These great bendy, twisty ball mazes will be the hit of the holiday gifts!!!  Mommy Ramblings likes them so much we are adding them to our 2011 Holiday Gift Guide.
