Rock N Learn Preschool Ready For School DVD Review and Giveaway!!!

 

My 3-year-old is now at the age to start thinking about preschool, and my 5-year-old will be starting kindergarten homeschool in a week! So this Rock N Learn Ready for School DVD review arrived at an opportune time! This DVD is full of very easy to follow, fun lessons to teach kids how to tie shoes, get dressed, print their letters, as well as teaching listening skills, counting and much more! My boys love watching this and trying everything out themselves. For my 5-year-old, it was a good refresher of stuff he already knows, and he even learned something new, having never needed to tie his shoes before. My 3-year-old was fascinated by the new things he was learning, and got him thinking about what is in store for him in the years to come. There are quite a few songs to help kids learn the skills they show on the DVD. When I was in high school, my French teacher was adamant about how singing during learning was the best way to teach, and this really shows the truth in that, after watching the movie, the upbeat songs stay in your head and after singing them over and over, you realize that you’ve memorized something new and educational!

I don’t know who was more excited to see this DVD set arrive, my husband or my boys.  My little guys have never seen the turtles as they were way before their time so I was anxious to get their thoughts as I showed them the DVD.  They were immediately captivated  just by the cover.  It has been wonderful to have this set of the first 13 episodes for them to watch and I can just tell this is going to be a real favorite whenever we have TV time.
