I just adore the Make and Play Christmas Book. It is so much fun for my kids to make the fun Christmas decorations and display them throughout the house.

For our son Luke, our dog lover, we choose the If My Dog Could Talk Storybook. I customized it for him and our American Bulldog, Delilah. I was able to choose from twelve illustrated dog styles and five colors to create a dog that really resembled our dog.

The book includes Delilah’s name and the names of four of our family members, this really makes it fun to read! This book is also a nice way to celebrate a new puppy or dog adoption or remember a lost pet. Choose TIME Slippers For High Performance Relaxation – #Giveaway

We are getting our first snowfall in New York today. It is the perfect day for me to appreciate the beauty of the falling snow from my windows as I write. Afterward, I plan to do some holiday baking, and then help my kids decorate a gingerbread house.

In the evening, we will build a roaring fire, and watch a Christmas movie together. I really need a day to kick back a little, and let myself enjoy some holiday fun. That can be difficult for me to do this time of year, because my editorial schedule is so full. However, today I am putting that time aside.

I am reminding myself of this today, by wearing my TIME Slippers. Who am I kidding? I have been wearing these slippers every day since I got them. The mid top, wool slippers have hard soles that I can and do wear outside, because they are so warm and cozy. No one even thinks they are slippers, as they look more like a mid top sneaker.

They are so easy to put on and take off, no laces to tie, and the handy hook and loop fastener flap in the back, lets you just slip your foot right in. I have had them for about a week, and I have been wearing them every day because they are so comfortable and they look great!

The yoga mat insoles make my feet feel great with 6mm of cushioning, that was expertly designed to be comfortable under pressure. The wool interior keeps my feet warm when it is cold and wicks away moisture to keep my feet comfortable. I chose the wool exterior, but they also have leather. TIME Slippers are all made using the finest quality materials.

If you travel, you will be able to sail right through TSA in these babies. They have many styles to choose from for men or women. Women, if you have big feet like I do, don’t despair. While their women’s sizes go up to 9.5, the slippers are unisex. That means that you can just order the men’s size that is the equivalent of what you need.

I can tell you, I wear a women’s 11, I ordered the men’s size 9, and they fit perfectly. I was afraid they would be really wide or look huge ordering a men’s size, but they don’t. The stretch laces fit my narrow feet perfectly, but would easily expand to fit wider feet.

I love these slippers so much, they have been added to Mommy Ramblings 2017 Holiday Gift Guide. They would make a great gift for just about anyone!

I am so thrilled that all of my children enjoy reading. More than enjoy reading, we are the kind of people who think, one can never have too many books. Anyone that even hints that we may have too many books, is not our kind of people. We just need more bookshelves is all, never too many books! Okay, back to books. I recently discovered The Nocturnals. These books feature three unlikely friends: Dawn, a serious fox, Tobin, a sweet pangolin and Bismark, the loud mouthed, pint-sized sugar glider. The stories all play out in their nighttime world with teamwork, friendship and humor in every adventure.

The books are entertaining to both parents and kids alike, since I like to read aloud to my kids, they are perfect. The stories follow these three as they work together to find solutions for problems or mysteries.

The Moonlight Meeting is a banter-filled early reader (level 2) that describes the first meeting between shy Tobin, brash Bismark and kindhearted Dawn. This book works well to set the stage for continuing adventures between this brigade of friends.

After a random encounter with a blood-thirsty snake, the three animals form a brigade of the night. Alarmed that animals are disappearing without a trace, the brigade gets help from a band of coyotes and many others to solve a high stakes game that will determine all of their survival. Read all about it in The Mysterious Abductions.

Moving on to The Fallen Star where Dawn, Tobin and Bismark awaken one night to a disaster: all of the forest’s pomelos have been mysteriously poisoned. The Nocturnal Brigade sets out ot investigate and find answers and the cure before pomelo blight hurts them all.

The Ominous Eye has the Nocturnal Brigade investigating the source of a violent jolt that fractured the Earth. In their search for answers they come across an unfamiliar reptile named Polyphema, who tells them the cause was a giant beast who will soon strike again. Polyphema also states that she is the only one that can stop the fearsome predator…but can she be trusted?

On The Nocturnals website you can even find and download educational resources and activity kits that you can use with the books. You can also read or listen to a chapter of each book, join reading programs and much more.
