Very noisy and busy day in our household today. The tile contractor finished the rest of the tile demo and started tiling the area that will be around the whirlpool tub. Things are taking shape, of course we have a huge amount of work left but for the first time we are seeing the start of our new bathroom.
These are 2 of the walls that will be around the tub.
This picture shows the two walls in the picture above plus the third wall that is tiled to the ceiling since it is attached to the other floor to ceiling wall where the shower will be.
You can also see the niche that was tiled with the mosaic accents in the back of it.

With the walls demoed we were able to try the Concealed Cabinets for placement. The cabinets are being installed in the walls on the side of the master vanity. They will look a picture and hide a large medicine cabinet. The walls will be tiled around the cabinets. Above each sink will be a large mirror and then we have new lighting that will be installed above the mirrors along with all the recessed lighting already installed.
Now that the walls are all demoed we are trying to figure the placement for the 2 Concealed Cabinets.
Seem to fit how the studs are perfectly without any major changes.
I am sure there will be more updates tomorrow along with more noise but it is noise with a purpose.

Although spring started about 2 weeks ago, we still haven’t seen it for more than a fleeting day in New York. With April starting in about 24 hours, I am taking comfort in knowing that it has to arrive sooner or later. I truly hope it’s sooner because I love to walk in the spring.
If you like to walk and enjoy taking your little ones along in a stroller you have probably found that you just cannot remove the handlebar cover that comes permanently attached to your stroller to wash it. Considering we are touching it all the time, it’s easy to get soiled, sweaty and worn. CityGrips are neat little covers to put over the stroller handlebar from Choopie that add function and flair. CityGrips attach securely with velcro and remove just as easy so you can machine wash and dry them when necessary, that really appeals to the germaphobe in me.
City Grips are available in great colors, prints and patterns and 2 styles for double or single handlebars. I found it super easy to attach the black polka dot print which is one of the new designs for 2014, to my Stokke Scoot handlebar. I like that I can just take them off and throw them in the washer to keep the handlebar much more sanitary. An added benefit is that it really makes the otherwise black handlebar look sharp and stylish.
Another important accessory that I must have, is some type of hook or hooks so that I can attach bags, diaper bags, my purse and more easily to my stroller. Choopie has great hooks called CityHooks and they attach quickly, easily and securely to the handlebar of any stroller, wheelchair, car seat and more with snug fitting velcro straps. The hooks swivel a full 350 degrees and the open hook design make it easy to slip bags on and off. I love that with these hooks we are ready for all the little extras we need to tote on outings and they’re perfect for shopping to hold bags.

March is National Crafts Month and we love crafts all year in our family so we really thing giving them some recognition is so cool. My children are all very creative and artistic and so you will find tons of craft supplies, markers, colored pencils, paints, chalks, paper and much more in our home. My little ones really love to draw and so since they are so close in age and want to do everything together. The 3-Way Tabletop Easel from Lakeshore was the perfect choice for a great art center where they can paint, color and create their own masterpieces together!
Right out of the box this easel is a cinch to get set up and you only need to do a quick 2 screw attachment on the tray with the alyn wrench included. One side features a high quality chalk board that erases completely. It is a real pet peeve of mine when chalk boards are hard to erase or do not erase completely without a great deal of elbow grease.
The other side is a dry erase white board and there is a tray underneath that extends out so each side has a place to hold paint, markers, chalk and other supplies.
Two blue clips are included to hold paper. This easel has been used daily since I opened it. I like that it is lightweight and portable yet sturdy. It is so easy to take it out on the deck on a nice day and let the kids paint or color outside and then just bring it back in when they are finished without having to lug something big around.
