“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” Sails in Today on Blu-ray!

One of the things my kids like best about their mom being a blogger, is getting the newest Blu-ray releases before they are available to the general public.  Last weekend, they had a movie night with the brand new Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales on Blu-ray Combo Pack.

You don’t have to wait any more either! Today is the day this new Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer Film is available for purchase. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is a rollicking new tale of the high seas, infused with all the elements of fantasy, humor and action that have resulted in an international phenomenon for the past 13 years.

Johnny Depp returns to his Academy Award®-nominated role as the outrageous, swashbuckling scoundrel Captain Jack Sparrow, and is joined by Oscar winners Javier Bardem and Geoffrey Rush.

“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”—the fifth film in the now-iconic “Pirates of the Caribbean” film franchise— sailed home on Digital in HD and 4K Ultra HD™ on September 19, and  is sailing in today on 4K Ultra HD™/Blu-ray™ Combo Pack, DVD and On-Demand.

Check out the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales Trailer Below.

Bonus material includes a collection of behind-the-scenes, making-of stories, including a conversation with directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg; a sit-down with the two young newcomers who play Henry and Carina; the secrets behind the menacing new villain, Salazar, and his ferocious ghost sharks; an on-set visit with Jack’s first mate from all five films; a chat with Sir Paul McCartney who appears as Uncle Jack; and a discussion about the franchise’s legacy; along with hilarious bloopers, deleted scenes and memories from producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s photo diary.

The rip-roaring adventure—packed with humor, suspense and jaw-dropping special effects—finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea—notably Jack.

Find Out Why You Should Watch “The Martial Arts Kid” With Your Family

If you are affected by the high heat index or it is raining buckets and you are looking for a good movie to watch with your family, I have one to share. The Martial Arts Kid, recently released on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download from Traditionz Entertainment is an action-packed, family-friendly movie.

Martial Arts Kid

Robbie (Jansen Panettiere) is a troubled teen who seems to find trouble over and over in his Ohio hometown. Hoping to help him straighten out, his beleaguered grandmother sends him off to spend the summer with his aunt and uncle, who own a martial arts school in a sleepy, Florida beach community.

A new state and town is not enough to keep Robbie out of trouble. He ends up in very hot water when he makes the mistake of getting friendly with the girlfriend of Bo Whitlaw, the town bully. Knowing he is in deep trouble Robbie reaches out to his Uncle Glen for help.

With his Uncle’s help Robbie learns how to stand up for himself and protect others. It is a fun family movie that may spark conversations on bullying and protecting others without becoming a bully yourself. It is an entertaining film about good versus evil that may intrigue youngsters to join martial arts. The Martial Arts Kid has the Dove Family Approved Seal for ages 12+, but with caution that the entire family could watch it, if not for some language and intense fighting scenes.

Check out the Trailer HERE on YouTube. Follow The Martial Arts Kid on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

ALSO STARRING:  Teen actress Kathryn Newton, who starred in Paranormal Activity 4 and has been seen in such hit films as Bad Teacher and in roles on such popular television series as Supernatural; Don “The Dragon” Wilson, an 11-time world champion kickboxer who has scored 47 knockouts, is a European Martial Arts Hall of Famer and a veteran star of more than 30 action films, including such box office hits as Batman Forever and Say Anything; and Cynthia Rothrock, who holds six black belts and is one of the first female martial arts action stars, with over 50 movies to her credit.

If you do watch this, let me know what you think in the comments.

Bibbidy Bobbity Boo! Cinderella: Diamond Edition on Blu!

At the stroke of midnight, October 2nd, dreams will come true as Disney releases  CINDERELLA: DIAMOND EDITION on Blu-ray Combo Pack. The timeless and beloved masterpiece is an enchanting classic that comes alive for the very first time on Blu-ray high-definition with enhanced picture and sound. The “Cinderella: Diamond Edition,” with its spellbinding storyline, memorable music, unforgettable characters and spectacular animation, sparkles like never before with a wide-array of bonus features that extend the viewing experience for the whole family to enjoy including never-before-seen material, family friendly interactive activities, games and more.

About Cinderella:

Everyone orders Cinderella around: her cruel stepmother, her awful step sisters — even the big clock in the church tower tells her when to start another day of drudgery. But they can’t stop her from dreaming, and Cinderella has faith that someday her wishes will come true. When an invitation to the royal ball arrives, Cinderella is sure her time has come — until her step sisters, with the encouragement of Lady Tremaine, tear her gown to shreds. Just when Cinderella believes all is lost, her Fairy Godmother appears, and with a wave of her wand and “Bibbidi-Bobbity-Boo,” transforms an ordinary pumpkin into a magnificent coach and Cinderella’s rags into a gorgeous gown, then sends her off to the Royal Ball. But Cinderella’s enchanted evening must end when the spell is broken at midnight. It will take the help of her daring animal mice friends and a perfect fit into a glass slipper to create the ultimate fairy tale ending.

Mommy Ramblings says:

We received this Diamond Edition Cinderella for review.  Cinderella has been a treasured part of our movie collection since it was available on VHS, then DVD, Blu-Ray and now the Diamond Edition.  I have watched this movie so many times as a child myself, then with my older children and now with my little ones.  Who could not like this movie?  The mice are one of my favorite parts, chubby Gus Gus just steals my heart.  Cinderella finally getting her dream come true after all the suffering at the hands of her step-mother and step-sisters is what fairy tales are all about.  It will have you singing the songs all day.  So Bibbidi-Bobbity and go get a copy and plan a wonderful nostalgic movie night with your family.  Below are some great links to activities and recipes to help you tie it all together and make a super family fun night!!!
