Tommee Tippee, Closer To Nature Pacifier Review & Giveaway!!!

ctn_logo_dark

Not all my babies were pacifier compatible, but thankfully my new baby, Rand, loves them! It makes things easier for both of us.  He can self-soothe and I’m  able to get more things done. I was recently given a few sets of  new Tommee Tippee pacifiers in boy designs to  review. Their new, orthodontic shape is specially designed for baby acceptance from the first attempt, as it’s a similar design to their bottle nipples. They’re BPA and phthalate free silicone, and are dishwasher safe.

I’m happy to report that Tommee Tippee’s designers did not waste their time designing them to be accepted by baby on the first try; My baby took it right away! He has different shaped pacifiers that he usually takes, but didn’t seem to have a problem with accepting the Tommee Tippee kind.  Truthfully, he took it on the second attempt, as he was hungry the first time and nothing would have pacified him then! My baby has been using these pacifiers for a couple of weeks now, and they have certainly become his favorite! They are just the right shape for him to hold in his mouth without losing grip on it.

These remarkable pacifiers come in three sizes – 0-3M, 0-6M and 6-18M and offer girl, boy and gender neutral colors! You can find them at Target, Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby.  They will also be available in air style which allows extra air flows between shield and cheeks, night-time style with glow in the dark handles, and fun style with bright and playful designs.

Mohawk Valley Trading Company, Grade A, Dark, Robust Maple Syrup Review and Giveaway!!!

Do you like great Maple Syrup?  If you do, Mohawk Valley Trading Company has a Grade A, Dark, Robust Maple Syrup that is absolutely delicious.  It has a great rich flavor with just the right amount of sweet to pour on French Toast, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, yogurt or whatever you like to pour it on!

Sierra Exif JPEG

The syrup comes in glass bottles and is made primarily from sugar maple sap, which is preferred for maple syrup production because it has an average sugar content of two percent. Sap from other maple species is usually lower in sugar content, and about twice as much is needed to produce the same amount of finished syrup.

We tried this syrup and my husband and I immediately agreed it had to be the best maple syrup we had ever tasted. We look forward to weekend breakfasts even more since we have this syrup to compliment our waffles, pancakes or french toast.

The Mohawk Valley Trading Company offers the highest quality unprocessed natural products we can produce namely; Maple Syrup, Maple Sugar, Honey, Raw Honey, Beeswax, Beeswax Candles, Handmade Soap and Natural Skin Care Products.  Their warehouse is located in Utica, NY.  They only sell their products online.  If you would like to order or need more information, you can email them at info@tenonanatche.com.

ReusaWool Dryer Balls From The Willow Store, Review & Giveaway!!!

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. willowstore_logo

I do not like to use chemicals in my home and so I’m happy to do a review for ReusaWool Dryer Balls.  I do use a dryer sheet that is not filled with toxic chemicals but I know many people still use those nasty, toxic dryer sheets.  If you are, please stop!  There is no need to expose your family to that toxic brew anymore and there are alternatives that don’t use those chemicals.

Dryer Balls

One of the options are ReusaWool Dryer Balls.  The natural wool felted balls actually reduce drying time while they soften your laundry naturally and without chemicals.  Reusa balls are mad in the USA by hand and they can be used with all types of laundry, just toss 2-3 balls in with your wet clothes and dry.  After that load just leave them in the dryer and reuse for each load.

dryer_balls

Wool_Dryer_Ball_Colors

wool ball

ReusaWool Dryer Balls will not harm your clothes and the colors are natural and safe for any color clothing.  The dye used on the balls is fiber reactive and will not bleed or run onto your laundry.  The balls last for years and can save you money since you would use them in place of dryer sheets.  I would say if you do large loads like I do you might want to up the dryer balls to 5-6 and I have read you can add a few drops of an essential oil like lavender if you like that smell or any other to scent your clothes naturally.

Would you like a chance to win some ReusaWool Dryer Balls?  If so enter our giveaway below using the Rafflecopter widget.  Good Luck!!!  Open to US residents.

Margery Williams’ “The Velveteen Rabbit”, Deluxe Gift Edition Review & Giveaway!!!

Random_House_logo

A few weeks ago the little ones and I began to add Spring and Easter bedtime story books to our routine.  Experiencing an Arctic blast here in the Northeast, I found it very promising to read stories about springtime.  Many of the stories were about bunnies, ducks and the rebirth experienced each spring.

Along the bunny theme we recently were sent the beautiful Deluxe Gift Edition of The Velveteen Rabbit.  The first time we read it, my little guys were all ears (no pun intended). They wanted to know why all the boys things needed to be burned because of germs, and wondered why they couldn’t just wash them.  They were very glad to know the Velveteen Rabbit was not burned and was made real because he had been so special to the boy.  This is a delightful story to share with your children or to give as a gift.  Would make a beautiful addition to put in an Easter basket!

The Velveteen Rabit Gift Edition Random House

A deluxe gift edition of one of the most beloved children’s stories. With illustrations remastered from a 1922 first edition and a beautiful cloth binding with gold accents, this lovingly reconstructed classic is the ideal collectible gift for baby showers, birthdays, and holidays throughout the year. Includes a book plate for personalizing your gift.

At first a brand-new toy, now a threadbare and discarded nursery relic, the velveteen rabbit is saved from peril by a magic fairy who whisks him away to the idyllic world of Rabbitland. There, he becomes “Real,” a cherished childhood companion who will be loved for eternity. Treasured for generations, here is a timeless tale about the magic of boundless love, newly available with the luminous color of the original edition.

The Velveteen Rabbit Inside of Book

Excerpt From The Book:

“What is REAL?” asked the Rabbit one day, when they were lying side by side near the nursery fender, before Nana came to tidy the room.  “Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick-out handle?”

“Real isn’t how you are made,” said the Skin Horse.  “It’s a thing that happens to you.  When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.”

“Does it hurt?” asked the Rabbit.

“Sometimes,” said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful.  “When you are Real you don’t mind being hurt.”

“Does it happen all at once, like being wound up,” he asked, “or bit by bit?”

“It doesn’t happen all at once,” said the Skin Horse.  “You become.  It takes a long time.  That’s why it doesn’t often happen to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept.  Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby.  But these things don’t matter at all, because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand.”

Celebrate National Soup Month With the Original SoupMan!!! #SoupManFan

SoupMan Logo #SoupManFan #ad

The SoupMan phenomenon started back in 1984, long  before the Seinfeld, Soup Nazi,  “NO SOUP FOR YOU!” classic punchline; there were soup lines outside of Al’s legendary NYC store.  This was soup worth waiting for, even in sub-zero winters. The innovative recipes, miraculously fresh ingredients and spices from Al‘s secret sources showed jaded New Yorker’s a whole new side of soup.

#ad #SoupManFan

The years may have changed but nothing about the small-batch soups have.  They are still made with the craft and relentless pursuit of excellence that defines perfectionism and creates legends.  The New York Times declares, Al creates “Art, not soup.” Available at over 500 Walmart locations, over 750 Stop & Shop, 1400 Safeway stores, Giant, Martin’s Supermarkets, plus other grocers across the nation, fans  can enjoy The SoupMan’s original recipes in the comfort of their own home. Find a store near you HERE.   Follow SoupMan on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Here in New York we are experiencing an Arctic Blast of bone chilling cold.  If any time was right for a steaming hot bowl of hearty soup, it’s now!  SoupMan soups are packed in cartons not cans and they are not condensed, so do not add water.  All you need to do is open, heat and enjoy!  I have been having SoupMan Soup for lunch the past few days and I really looked forward to soup time!

#SoupManFan #ad

The lentil was the first kind I tried and it is full of quality ingredients and packed with flavor.  The soup is very satisfying, no need to add a sandwich and will have you fueled and ready for the rest of the day no matter what the temperature is outside.

I also tried the new Jambalaya and that was incredibly delicious.  I cannot wait to sample the Lobster Bisque, Tomato, Crab & Corn Chowder, Chicken Noodle and Chicken Gumbo.  Love that I can get the soups in my Walmart and how great that I won’t ever have to hear, “No Soup For You!”  With SoupMan there is soup for all of us!  Try some today and chase away the winter chills with a hot bowl of deliciousness as you Celebrate National Soup Month With the Original SoupMan!
